For Domestic Farm Laborers
In order to qualify, applicants must be a domestic farm laborer or a retired or disabled domestic farm laborer. This includes any person (and the family of such person) who receives a substantial portion of his or her income from the primary production, handling, or processing of agricultural or aquacultural commodities without respect to the source of employment. Applicants must also have legal residency status in order to qualify for this affordable housing assistance. Families must earn a minimum of $4,000 from farm labor employment and pay rents based on 30 percent of adjusted income or 10 percent of annual income, whichever is greater.
