Housing Authority of the City of El Paso, TX

Housing Opportunity Management Enterprises (HOME), in partnership with the City of El Paso's Department of Community and Human Development, celebrated the grand opening of Elvin Estates, El Paso's newest affordable housing community, on March 6, 2013.  The property features 15 Energy Star units for the elderly and a spacious public park complete with picnic areas, a gazebo, and irrigated retention ponds. Two of the 15 units are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act and another unit is equipped with audio and visual strobe lighting to assist the hearing impaired. The site itself is ADA-compliant and all work on this project was completed locally.  The project was funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the amount of $1,700,000 to the City of El Paso Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP).
