Waitlist openings are announced in advance. When the list is open, you submit your application online through the Applicant Portal, from any phone or computer, in minutes.
When your name is reached, we verify your eligibility (income and family size) and issue your voucher.
Find a rental that fits your family. After the unit passes inspection, HOME pays its share of the rent directly to your landlord each month.
Currently, the waitlist for our Housing Choice Voucher Program is closed. We will notify the public when the waitlist is scheduled to reopen. In the meantime, you can apply to our Project-Based Voucher and Affordable Housing Programs.
Unlike Housing Choice Vouchers that move with your family, Project-Based Vouchers are attached to specific units in our communities. You'll pay affordable rent for as long as you live there — no separate voucher needed.
